This Sunday, May 4, is Lay Chaplain Sunday. The current Lay Chaplains, Jenn Carpenter and Decima Mitchell, will be speaking about their roles. Our Sunday Services start at 10:30 on Sunday morning, at 874 York Street and on Zoom.

The Service Leader, Tony Fitzgerald, is a former Lay Chaplain and the Chair of the UFF’s Lay Chaplaincy Committee. The Canadian Unitarian Council, which oversees Lay Chaplaincy programs across Canada, recommends that member congregations dedicate at least one Sunday a year to the CUC Lay Chaplaincy programme. Find out what Lay Chaplains may and may not do. Perhaps you might be, as others have been, inspired to pursue this path to providing meaningful content to rituals of life for people who want something different.

For more information on the ceremonies Lay Chaplains officiate at UFF or off-site, for members and non-members of any faith background, please click on the Ceremonies or Lay Chaplains tab, or https://uff.ca/ceremonies/

The Unitarian Fellowship of Fredericton is a Welcoming Congregation, and invite people of all genders and on any spiritual or religious path to join them on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. You can also participate on Zoom.
