We will address fall prevention and healthy aging through exercise. During this session, we will discuss common risk factors for falls, practical strategies to stay active and safe, and the importance of regular exercise for maintaining strength, balance, and independence as we age. We will also introduce Zoomers in Balance, a free community-based exercise program for adults aged 50+ that offers both in-person and online classes designed to improve balance and reduce falls. Participants will learn about available program options and ways to get involved in local classes. The session will include time for questions and discussion..
Program for Children and Youth on June 7: Our Seasons – Winter
In the final Our Seasons lesson, children will explore what death is, what it means to die, and what to do when we feel grief. Special guest: Kathleen Gaudet, UFF Lay Chaplain. (Principles Three, Four, and Five)
Following the service, participants of all ages are invited to get coffee and baked goods in the kitchen and enjoy them over conversations in the piano area or the library. Interested in learning more about what Joan Wellhauser and her committee have planned to redecorate the library and improve the entrance to our building? Please ask a member of the hospitality committee to direct you to Joan W or Sheila.
Janet will stay after the service in case anyone wants to work on a craft project. She has a rug hooking kit that was donated and it will be available for anyone who is interested. It is a wall hanging of a sunflower.
